Help more families come home together.

Amara’s Fight to Come Home

At 22 weeks pregnant, Nana’s world changed when doctors found a rare tumour growing near her baby’s neck.

With little research and no clear answers about what her baby’s future might look like, Nana faced fear, uncertainty and an impossible decision. But through specialist care at Westmead Hospital, she found the support she needed.

Baby Amara was born at 36 weeks and underwent urgent surgery, followed by five long months of recovery in NICU. Today, Amara is two years old, growing, interacting with other children, and living the life Nana once feared may not be possible.

Your generosity helps ensure more families facing rare diagnoses and urgent medical decisions receive the care, support, and hope they need.
