Neroli's Story of Hope
Neroli was 13 when she had her first seizure at school. She heard a loud buzzing, then woke up in hospital, frightened and confused. Diagnosed quickly with epilepsy, her life changed overnight.
Now 21, Neroli lives with 3–4 seizures a week. She can’t drive, finds it hard to work or go out, and struggles with anxiety and low mood.
Not knowing when the next seizure will come has made everyday life feel uncertain and isolating.
At Westmead's Epilepsy Unit, Neroli underwent an intracranial EEG to help doctors locate the exact part of her brain causing the seizures. With more machines like this, more young people like Neroli could move one step closer to surgery and a better quality of life. Your donation can help make that possible.
Your donation can help fund vital EEG equipment and give more patients like Neroli a chance at a safer, more independent future.
Thank you for your generosity.
