WSABE 2026 Finalist

Westmead Hospital Foundation was proud to be named a finalist in the Outstanding Community Organisation category at the 2026 Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence (WSABE).

The Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence, founded by the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce in 1990, are now in their 36th year and recognise businesses, leaders and organisations making an important contribution to the growth and wellbeing of Greater Western Sydney.

The Foundation was shortlisted alongside an impressive group of community organisations from across the region, with the category recognising organisations working to improve the social, cultural or environmental wellbeing of their communities.

Representatives from Westmead Hospital Foundation joined fellow finalists, business leaders and community organisations at the 2026 WSABE Golden Stars Gala, held at CommBank Stadium on Friday, 4 September.

While the Foundation did not take home the award on the evening, being selected as a finalist was a wonderful recognition of the work being undertaken every day in partnership with Westmead Hospital and our community.

From funding vital medical equipment and research to supporting programs that improve the experience of patients and families, the Foundation brings together donors, corporate partners, community groups, volunteers and hospital staff with a shared purpose, to help deliver better outcomes for patients at Westmead Hospital.

Importantly, this recognition belongs to our entire community. Every donation, partnership, fundraising initiative and act of volunteering contributes to what we are able to achieve.

We congratulate Hume Community Housing, who was named the 2026 winner of the BYD Harmony Auto Outstanding Community Organisation Award, as well as all of the organisations recognised as finalists.

For Westmead Hospital Foundation, being named among Western Sydney's outstanding community organisations is something we are incredibly proud of and reinforces our commitment to continuing to build meaningful partnerships that make a difference for Westmead Hospital, its patients and their families.
